These terms have two parts. Part A applies to the JW Excel Academy training platform. Part B applies to the JWBS Control Center, the internal bookkeeping system used by our staff.
Part A. JW Excel Academy
Who we are
The academy is run by TODO-LEGAL: full legal name, registered address and company registration number ("JW Business Solution", "we"). Contact: contact@jwbsja.com.
Access
- The academy is by invitation. You sign in with the work email you were invited on and a one-time code sent to it.
- Your account is personal. Do not share your sign-in or let someone else attend or submit work as you.
- Access may depend on your course dates and your employer's or client's enrolment. TODO-LEGAL: what happens when a cohort ends.
Acceptable use
- Use the platform only for the course. Do not try to bypass access limits, probe or overload the service, or access other people's data.
- Keep discussion posts, questions and shared files professional and lawful. We may remove content that is abusive or unlawful.
- Do not upload workbooks that contain personal data or confidential information of your employer or others unless you are allowed to share it. Use dummy or masked data for exercises where you can.
Your work and our materials
You keep ownership of the workbooks and answers you submit. You allow us to store, view, grade and discuss them with your facilitators (and with your sponsoring employer, to the extent set out in the Privacy Notice) so we can deliver and assess the course. Course content, templates, exercises and recordings belong to JW Business Solution or its licensors and are for your own learning use. You may not copy, resell or publish them without permission. TODO-LEGAL: any licence to use anonymised or aggregated results.
Live sessions and recordings
Live sessions may be recorded, including voice, video and shared screens, and recordings may be made available to participants. By joining a session you accept this. If you do not want to be recorded, keep your camera off, stay muted and tell your facilitator beforehand. You must not record or redistribute sessions yourself. Assessments and certificates
Scores and feedback are given by facilitators. A certificate is issued when the course requirements are met. TODO-LEGAL: the pass requirements, re-sit rules and whether certificates can be withdrawn.
Privacy
How we collect and use personal data is described in the Privacy Notice. Analytics and session replay run only if you accept them.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw features. We may update these terms and will post the new version on this page.
Liability
TODO-LEGAL: limitation of liability, disclaimers (including that training does not guarantee outcomes), and any indemnities. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
TODO-LEGAL: governing law and courts (expected to be Jamaica), and how disputes are handled.
Contact
Part B. JWBS Control Center (internal)
JWBS Control Center is an internal system operated by JW Business Solution for its own staff, to carry out bookkeeping and finance work for clients who have engaged us. It is not available to the general public.
Use
- Access is limited to authorised JW Business Solution staff. Credentials must not be shared.
- The system connects to a client's QuickBooks Online company only with that client's authorization, and staff use it only for the work the client has engaged us to do.
- Changes made to a client's books through the system are recorded and can be reviewed.
Accuracy
The system displays and posts data as it exists in QuickBooks Online and as entered by staff. Staff remain responsible for reviewing the accuracy of any record before relying on it or filing anything based on it.
Availability
The system is provided as is, without warranty, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
